With Canada Post One Balance, there is no need to open your own Canada Post Express account. Instead, you can start creating Canada Post labels as soon as you enter your billing details into ShipStation. Additionally, Canada Post One Balance offers discounted rates compared to the rates you would receive with your own Canada Post account.
Canada Post One Balance includes both domestic and international services.
Canada Post Service Delays
Canada Post is experiencing delays due to staff shortages caused by the rapid spread of the new COVID-19 OMICRON variant.
The situation is constantly changing and our vendors continue to adapt as best they can. Canada Post has mentioned that they may have to take certain measures such as the short term closures of some post offices and reducing the hours of operation.
At the moment these are only contingency plans, however they may be implemented across the country in the coming weeks.
Connection Requirements:

Complete your One Balance account setup in ShipStation.
Before you can create labels with a ShipStation One Balance™ carrier, you'll need to add your billing information. Once your billing information has been added, you can start creating labels and adding funds to your balance.

Click the Set up carriers button.

Click Continue Setup.

Enter your payment and location information in the Payment tab, then click Continue Setup.

Review the carrier Terms of Service, then check the box next to "I have read and agree to the following terms of service."

Click Finish Setup.
This billing method will apply funds to the balance used to purchase labels through ShipStation One Balance™. Charges to add funds to the balance will appear on your credit card reports with the description “STAMPS."
Enable Auto-Funding For a Seamless Experience
We recommend using auto-funding to ensure the balance never falls below a set threshold amount.

Canada Post One Balance™ does not support scheduled pickups. This service is only available with a regular Canada Post account.

You have a 15 day limit to void a Canada Post One Balance™ label to receive a refund back to your balance.

Canada Post One Balance does not support Pay-On-Use Return labels (POUR).

There is a 60-minute waiting period before you can void an un-manifested label.

To receive a refund on any unused funds in your One Balance account, you must contact ShipStation support and request your One Balance account be cancelled. You will then receive a refund on your balance in 6-8 weeks.
We cannot issue partial refunds on your balance. If you wish to continue using One Balance to purchase shipping labels, simply use the balance available in your account.
