Canpar Express One Balance is a postage provider from ShipStation that allows you to start creating Canpar Express labels as soon as you enter your billing details. No need to start your own Canpar Express account and connect to ShipStation. Canpar Express One Balance ships to virtually all points accessible by public roads in all ten provinces of Canada.

Canpar Express One Balance is not available with ShipStation Legacy. Upgrade to the latest version of ShipStation to take advantage of this integration!

Set Up Billing for ShipStation One Balance

ShipStation One Balance is automatically part of your ShipStation account, but you'll need to provide billing information before you can create any labels or add insurance to your shipments. Funds for ShipStation One Balance are managed directly in ShipStation.

You'll be prompted to add your billing information the first time you attempt to create a label, or you can follow the steps below to add the billing information in advance:

  1. Click the Set up carriers button.

  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to enter your billing details, agree to the terms and conditions, and finish the setup.

This billing method will apply funds to the one balance used to purchase labels through ShipStation One Balance. Charges to add funds to the balance will appear on your credit card reports with the description “STAMPS."

Enable Auto-Funding For a Seamless Experience

We recommend using auto-funding to ensure the balance never falls below a set threshold amount.

Update Payment Method

To change the payment method and billing address for your ShipStation One Balance accounts:

  1. Click the settings option for the account.

  2. Select Update payment method.

  3. Enter your billing details and click Save changes.

Payment Method is for Postage Only

Your ShipStation One Balance billing information is only used for postage purchases. You can update your billing information for your ShipStation subscription and Shipsurance fees in your Subscription Settings.

Shipping labels created for this carrier will include a tracking number that can be used to view the shipment status on the carrier's tracking website. Tracking may not be available for all shipping services.

When tracking is available, ShipStation will automatically track the shipment status and update the tracking status on the Shipments tab. This feature allows for other advanced ShipStation features like delayed notifications and the Branded Tracking Page.

ShipStation can perform an End of Day process for the carrier and submits the shipment information electronically. The End of Day process can be mandatory or optional, based on the carrier and your account with them. A printable file may or may not be available, see the End of Day (PDF).

File a Claim for Canpar Express One Balance

ShipStation manages all missing or damage claims for shipments sent with Canpar Express One Balance. Do not contact Canpar Express support to file a claim.

To file a claim for a missing or damaged shipment:

  1. Click this link to access the claim form: Canpar Express One Balance Claim.

  2. Fill in all the required fields and submit the form when complete.

Additional Details about Canpar Express One Balance™

  • Canpar One Balance™ does not support scheduling pickups with the ShipStation pickup scheduler. However, you can schedule pickups with the Canpar Express Pick up on Demand scheduler.

  • You cannot void labels after they have been manifested.

  • ShipStation only supports the thermal label layout (4" x 6"), not the integrated label layout (8.5" x 11").

  • No support for a Ship To address line 3. However, your Ship From can have address line 3.

  • Canpar does not support the Company Name field.

  • Carrier Insurance Rate Fee not included in the estimated rate or in the Rate Feed

  • To receive a refund on any unused funds in your One Balance account, you must contact ShipStation support and request your One Balance account be cancelled. You will then receive a refund on your balance in 6-8 weeks.

    We cannot issue partial refunds on your balance. If you wish to continue using One Balance to purchase shipping labels, simply use the balance available in your account.
