How to add a Newegg, Newegg Canada, or Newegg Business store to ShipStation, what features are available, and other need-to-know details.

Newegg is a US and Canadian marketplace for PCs, consumer electronics, home automation, and everything tech. ShipStation supports features like customer-preferred shipping methods, tracking info, UPC or MPN product imports, and more.

Newegg Requirements

Connection Requirements:

  • An active account with Newegg Marketplace, Newegg Business, or Newegg Canada.

  • You must contact Newegg directly to request your Newegg API credentials. Please specify that you are using ShipStation and also include the email address associated with your Newegg account.

Order Import Requirements:

  • Include a Ship To address.

Connect a Newegg store to ShipStation

Follow the steps below to connect your Newegg store to ShipStation:

  1. Select the Newegg tile for your account type.

  2. Enter your Newegg Seller ID and Secret Key.

After you've completed the connection steps, your store will be connected to ShipStation. You'll be taken to the store's Settings page to adjust the store-specific settings like branding, notification preferences, and product handling.

This integration allows you to define the Status Mappings for the store connection.

ShipStation will import the customer email address and can send customer shipment notification and delivery emails.

ShipStation will import the customer phone number.

ShipStation will import the shipping method chosen by the customer at time of checkout.

ShipStation will import the payment method used to pay for the order.

ShipStation will import discount and coupon information for the order.

ShipStation is able to determine if an order was placed as a gift.

ShipStation will import internal notes or order activity from the selling channel.

ShipStation will import notes left by the customer at time of checkout. Displayed as Customer notes in ShipStation's Legacy Layout.

ShipStation will import the total order weight from the selling channel.

Additional Details about the Newegg Integration

Keep this in mind about ShipStation's integration with Newegg:

  • Newegg orders should not be Combined or Split in ShipStation. Doing so will prevent ShipStation from being able to update Newegg with the tracking information. If you Combine or Split a Newegg order, you will need to update the Newegg order's status manually.
