How to add a Square store to ShipStation, what features are available, and other need-to-know details.
Square's complete-register service is a full point-of-sale tool for every part of running a business. Use it to accept credit cards, manage sales, track inventory, set shipping options, and even finance a small business. In addition, in the U.S., Square enables online sales through Square Online Store, a product especially helpful to omni-channel businesses.
With a free online store from Square, you can easily list your products, create a memorable URL, personalize your page, and attract online visitors with built-in marketing tools.
An active Square Market account.
Currently, ShipStation only supports Square Market, which is different from the Square POS. ShipStation cannot import orders or invoices from Square POS. (There are no plans to support Square POS at this time, but you can let us know via this feedback forum thread if you'd like to see this integration.)
Order Import Requirements:
Include a Ship To address.
Be a Market order. Square POS and Invoices are not available to import into ShipStation.
Be in the Open status or greater. Orders in the Pending status will not import.
Follow the steps below to connect your Square store to ShipStation:
Select the Square tile.
Login to your Square account to authorize access for ShipStation.
After you've completed the above steps, your store will be connected to ShipStation. You'll be taken to the store's Settings page to adjust the store-specific settings like branding, notification preferences, and product handling.

Account Billing managed by Square
If you signed up for your ShipStation account through Square, then the billing for your account will be managed by Square along with your Square subscription fees. This does not apply if you created your ShipStation account independent of Square, then connected a Square store.
ShipStation subscription upgrades and Shipsurance discount insurance is not available if you are on the Square billing profile. If these features are needed, please contact ShipStation support.
Here are some things you should keep in mind about ShipStation's integration with Square:
ShipStation is only able to import Market orders from Square. ShipStation is not able to import POS orders or Invoices.
Only a single Square store can be connected to a ShipStation account.
If an Square order is Expired, ShipStation will not be able to send a shipment update to the order.
